The role of a business administrator usually includes the following:

  • Work independently or as part of a team.
  • Involves developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administration services.
  • Support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the organisation by working across teams resolving issues as requested.
  • Have strong communication skills and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills.
  • Show initiative, manage priorities and own time, problem-solving and decision-making skills and develop the potential for management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.
