What is End Point Assessment?
An End Point assessment is a series of assessments which test Knowledge Skills and behaviours at the end of an Apprenticeship.
Assessments have been designed by employers (known as trailblazers’ groups) and are carried out by approved End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAO). We are here to work with you to provide a first-class EPA journey.
Deciding to work with an EPAO
Selecting an EPAO is essential for the best results for your apprentice. An effective EPAO will have structured the EPA journey, making sure your apprentice is at the correct stages throughout the end part of the Apprenticeship and through to Gateway of EPA.
The best time to appoint a EPAO is at the start of an Apprenticeship to ensure the learner is on the right assessment plan and follows a robust sequence of learning to meet the assessment plan requirements.
An EPAO Is an independent organisation and not linked to the Training Organisation and requires both the Employer and the Training Organization to decide which EPAO is best for each apprentice. Ultimately the Employer has the last decision, as it is their member of staff taking the assessment.
